How do I shop
Field-Tested goods?
On our website, you don’t have to go to a separate section. Field-Tested gear is integrated throughout each category in the menu, side by side with new gear. Just look for the Field-Tested badge as you browse.

Every Field-Tested item goes through a complete evaluation and cleaning process before it reaches our website.
Evaluation
Every item is triple inspected — at purchase, at steaming, and at photography — for condition and functionality.
It is then graded clearly so you know exactly what to expect.
Cleaning
We take condition seriously, especially when it comes to clothing.
After steaming, all clothing items are treated with an activated oxygen process that removes odors and bacteria at a molecular level

What is Field-Tested?
Field-Tested is our program for used outdoor gear and technical clothing. These are high-quality items that have been inspected, graded, and prepared for their next adventure.
How are items inspected?
All Field-Tested items go through a complete evaluation including:
- Triple inspected for any condition issues
- Clear condition grading so you know what to expect.
How is clothing cleaned?
All Field-Tested clothing is treated with an activated oxygen process that removes odors and bacteria at a molecular level.
Are photos accurate?
Yes. We photograph every Field-Tested item during our inspection process. We do not use stock photos for used goods or brand samples.
What condition are items in?
Every Field-Tested item is graded using our condition scale. From Mint to Flawed Gem, each item's condition grade is clearly listed so you can shop with confidence.
What does “sample” mean?
A 'Sample' is an item that has been procured directly from a brand or brand sales representative in new condition. Item has original tags that may on occasion state that it is a 'sample' or 'sales sample'.
Can I return used gear?
Yes! Returns for all online purchases are accepted for 30 days after date of purchase. See our return policy for full details.

Our online assortment of used gear and clothing is unique from our in-store assortment. But, don't worry. We accept returns for 30 days after date of purchase if the item doesn't work out.
