Grand Rapids Full Time Team Member
Hi! I’m Liz, a west-Michigan lifer. I was born and raised in Kalamazoo but moved to Grand Rapids in 2017. I showed up to my interview with Jimmy in an inflatable tube man suit and the rest was history. FERAL has been a perfect fit for the Eastown neighborhood, and I love working a job that allows me to meet and serve folks in my own community. And I walk to work! Dreams do come true.
Favorite piece of gear?
My trusty Coleman Classic propane stove! I did user research for Coleman at my last job so the brand holds a special place in my heart, and prepping/serving food is one of my favorite parts of camping. Egg sandwiches with ~all~ the fixings are my specialty.
Favorite song to play at the shop?
“You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon. It can get absolutely anybody singing along… grown men, teen girls, you name it. Super fun.
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
I hosted a trivia night sponsored by FERAL and a neighborhood brewery- Speciation Cellars. I think I found my calling. Trying to convince Jimmy to create a “full-time trivia operative” role so I can do that all the time.
