Denver Supervisor

Lee Godwin

I grew up in Decatur, Alabama where I got involved in rock climbing and found my obsession with outdoor gear. After college, I got married and traveled around the states with my wife, Christy, and pup, Roo, in a Sprinter van that we built out. Most of our time was spent out west and we found ourselves living in San Diego for a stint where I picked up surfing. Eventually, we made the move to Denver where I got involved with FERAL and have been able to share the stoke for gear with the surrounding community ever since.

Ski or surf?
How about snowboarding? Surfing is a close second, but there's nothing like rippin' up the mountain with the crew!

Best used gear find?
My overly engineered Feathered Friends Volant Down Jacket. Once I saw it come through our used gear, I told myself, "There's never been a situation where you'd need this..." but then (like always) I was able to justify my purchase by telling myself "The reason you haven't been in a situation to use it is because you don't have it."

When was the last time you did something for the first time?
My wife is an incredible artist and last month, after years of watching her create phenomenal paintings and drawings, I finally decided to try my hand at art. I picked up lino printmaking and, while I'm not all that great, it's been fun to learn different techniques and get challenged in ways I never have before.
