Denver Store Manager

Charlie McQuiston

Howdy do! I moved to Colorado a little over five years ago with my wife, Angel, and our Shih-Tzu named Buddy. Having never lived anywhere outside of the Memphis, Tennessee area where I was born but having an itch for anything outdoors, Colorado has allowed me to get out there more than I could have ever dreamed. FERAL fit perfectly into that picture, and I joined the team about a year after our move to the Denver area. The shop and community around it quickly became a second home for me, and it has continued to be just that for the past four years.

Mountains or Beach?
I’ll take the mountains over the beach any day. If that ever changes I’ve been cloned by an AI version of myself and must be stopped immediately.

Favorite local spot?
New Terrain Brewing Company. Though I enjoy anything that gets me outside, it’s hard to beat drinking beer with friends while enjoying a good view and sunshine. And dogs. And music.

What’s the last thing you got ‘in trouble’ for?
My wife and I stumbled across a large metal door that was discretely wedged into a rocky mountainside while we were on a little hike in Clear Creek Canyon. There were several signs that said do not touch the door or mess with the lock. I touched the door and messed with the lock. Within minutes, two park rangers parked at the base of where we had started hiking and hastily approached us. They escorted us back to our truck and wouldn’t answer what the door was. If I go missing after this statement it was between the second tunnel and the Mayhem Gulch trailhead.
