Mt. Elbert 14er Meetup
September 17th – 18th
**UPDATE** **DATE CHANGE** We have moved the Mt. Elbert 14er Meetup to the weekend of September 17th-18th to avoid the holiday weekend. This will allow us to avoid the larger crowds and procure a better campsite for the group. Sorry for an inconvenience.
Schedule Overview
Thursday, September 15th @ 6pm – Quick Q&A and hike overview at Feral Mountain Co. for anyone that wants details on what to expect and what to pack.
Saturday, September 17th @ 5pm – Group camping near the Mt. Elbert trailhead, with gear testing and some other surprises. Details on the exact location are provided below. Arrive anytime after 5pm.

Sunday, September 18th @ 6am – Meet at the trailhead to begin hike. We will be hiking the Northeast route starting from the main Mt. Elbert trailhead. Google Map trailhead location: https://goo.gl/maps/4DKNQoyApFQ2
Logistics/Directions
Camping:
Camping location is about 1/2 mile from the Northeast Elbert trailhead. Google Maps Location HERE.
We will also have FANTASTIC gear giveaways, beer, and lots of food. Join us!
Hike:
We will be hiking Mt. Elbert along the standard Northeast route and will be leaving the lot at 6am sharp. The roundtrip distance is approximately 9 miles with an elevation gain of around 4,700′.

Important reminder: This is event is a social meetup, and not a guided or outfitted hike. Everyone should arrive with their own respective plan for the hike. There is no safety nor service implied. Just a bunch of friends getting together to hike a mountain. All participants are responsible for their own gear, supplies, food safety, and the safety of their party.
